On June 16, the Central Finance and Contracting Agency (CFCA) was hosted by representatives of the Board of Governors of the Finnish-Latvian Trade Association.
During the visit, the CFCA informed the representatives of the association of the CFCA basket of services, including the role of the CFCA as the only national liaison body in selecting and monitoring projects co-financed by the European Union.
The association represents Finnish capital companies-investors, so the visiting participants wanted to find out:
- what are the investments of EU funds planned for the next programming period of 2021-2027, which will soon flow into the Latvian economy;
- what support measures are planned for business development;
- in which sectors operators will be able to participate in procurements for the performance of works, services and supplies.
Representatives of the association were also interested in Latvia's experience in planning and implementing public-private partnership projects in Latvia. The CFCA, as a PPP supervisory body in Latvia, presented guests with CFCA functions in the implementation of the PPP and provided an overview of the PPP projects currently being carried out in Latvia and planned in the future.
The visit of the Finnish delegation to the CFCA was organised in cooperation with the Latvian Investment and Development Agency (LIDA).
